Tomatine helps creators publish one page that links to their official accounts. This page explains what information we collect, why we need it and what you can ask us to do with it. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
If you sign in
- Your name, email address and profile picture from Google, so we can identify your account.
- When you signed up and last signed in.
If you claim or create a creator page
- What you put on the page: name, short bio, category, photo, website, links to your accounts, featured content and their descriptions.
- A contact email, only if you add one. It is shown to visitors only if you turn that on, and only after they choose to reveal it.
- The evidence you give us when you claim a page (for example where you posted a verification code), and our decision.
- A history of changes to the page and who made them, so we can resolve disputes about ownership.
Pages we prepare before a creator joins
To invite creators, we may prepare a small number of pages using information they have already made public on their own channels: name, profile photo, channel description, public handles and links, public subscriber counts and recent videos. These pages are labelled “Unclaimed” on the page and in our directory, and can be corrected or removed on request.
If you visit a page
- Basic, privacy-conscious usage events such as page views, link clicks and shares, used to understand whether Tomatine is useful. We don’t sell this data or use it for advertising.
- Your IP address, briefly, to stop abuse (for example too many claims or reports from one place).
- If you send a report, what you write and, if you give it, your email address.
What we don’t do
- We never ask for passwords to your social or streaming accounts.
- We don’t download or rehost creators’ videos or podcasts. We link to the original.
- We don’t show ads on creator pages or sell personal data.
Embedded players
Some creators let visitors play a YouTube video or Spotify episode on their page. Nothing loads from those services until you press play. Once you do, that service’s own privacy policy applies to what it collects.
Who processes the data
We store data with Microsoft Azure (database, file storage and hosting) and use Google for sign-in. They process it on our behalf. Data may be stored outside your country.
How long we keep it
- Account and page data: while your account or page exists. When you delete it, we remove it within 30 days, except for a minimal record of ownership decisions we may need to resolve disputes.
- Abuse-prevention records (such as rate limits): a few hours.
- Reports: until they are resolved, then up to 12 months.
Your choices
You can edit your page at any time from your dashboard. You can ask us to correct or delete your data, or to remove a page about you, through the contact page. If a page about you was prepared before you joined, you can also use the “request removal” link on the page itself. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Tomatine is not intended for people under 16, and they should not create an account.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and tell signed-in creators.
